I Finally Did the Thing I'd Wanted to Do for Years, Because My Heart Got Broken

I'd wanted to become a certified Infinite Possibilities trainer for years, and then my heart got broken, and I said 'yes' to myself!

Not because everything was finally lined up, the timing was perfect, or I suddenly felt ready. I did it because I was in enough pain that the old excuses stopped working: maybe when things settle down, maybe when I have more time, maybe when I'm more ready.

Somewhere in the middle of that heartbreak, something started shifting. Light bulb by light bulb, one realization at a time, the pieces began to move, because it never works all at once.

I drove home from Orlando with a car full of CDs I'd won during the certification, hours of Mike Dooley playing through the speakers while the highway stretched out in front of me. By the time I got home, something had already changed.

That's what Infinite Possibilities does, not in theory but in reality. The foundation of the work is simple: thoughts become things.

You've probably heard that before, maybe from Louise Hay, maybe from a quote on social media, maybe you've rolled your eyes a little because you've tried positive thinking before and your life didn't magically rearrange itself. I get it. I was skeptical too.

But here's what I learned through experience: your thoughts aren't just words in your head. They're the lens you're looking through, the signal you're broadcasting, the story you're telling yourself about what's possible, what's true, and who you are. Often, that story becomes louder than reality.

I used to think I was fat. I carried that belief around for years, felt it, worried about it, judged myself through it. Then years later I looked back at pictures from that time and I wasn't fat at all. I was a perfectly normal size. The shocking part wasn't the photos. It was realizing I had never actually seen myself. I was seeing my belief about myself, and the belief was so loud it drowned out reality. Because I believed it, I attracted experiences, conversations, and relationships that reflected it back to me.

But here's what I've learned since: it was never really about the weight. I've been heavier than I've ever been and attracted incredible people into my life because confidence, self-worth, and energy communicate something much louder than a number on a scale ever could. Some people prefer skinny and some prefer curves, and that's just preference, but everyone feels energy. People respond to what you believe about yourself long before they respond to how you look. That's one of the lessons Infinite Possibilities helped me understand.

In 2018 I taught my first Infinite Possibilities workshop, a one-day event that people loved, but by the end of the day I could see it on their faces: too much information packed into too little time. The concepts were landing but there wasn't enough space to live them. One woman became so inspired she went on to get certified herself, completing her training in Carlsbad the following year, and that experience confirmed something I'd already suspected. Transformation needs breathing room, time between insights, time to notice, time to experiment, and time to see what changes when you start thinking differently.

That's why I redesigned Infinite Possibilities as an 8-week online experience. Each week we explore one of the core principles behind the work: thoughts, beliefs, emotions, action, intuition, possibility, trust, and ultimately what it means to consciously participate in creating your life. Sessions include teaching, reflection, discussion, and weekly experiments you can immediately apply. This isn't about sitting in front of a screen collecting information. It's about seeing what happens when awareness becomes action.

One of my favorite memories from certification happened before I ever taught my first workshop. I noticed a man standing across the room, calm and grounded with a quiet confidence that made people pay attention. I remember wondering who he was. Turns out he was one of the prison inmates Mike Dooley had taught through the Infinite Possibilities program, and the transformation was visible. You could feel it, a real person whose life had changed because he learned to question the stories he believed and choose different ones. He showed up willing, he did the work, and it showed in every inch of how he carried himself.

That's the magic of this work. It meets you wherever you are, and it works when you work it. There is more, and you don't need to have it all figured out to start because you just need to be curious enough to take the next step.

The link below takes you to a short interest form. I'm gathering interest before the next experience opens, and I'd love to know you're in.
